(RCM), Ede, Osun state! As a student at RCM, you are part of a vibrant
community dedicated to the vision of training and equipping skilled

RCM was established by the Governing Council of
the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1993 with the purpose of
recruiting, training, and preparing Christian missionaries. What began with
just 3 students at the Redemption Camp has since grown into a renowned
institution offering a range of programs in Christian Religious Studies,
Missiology, and Cross-cultural Studies.
In 2000, RCM moved to its permanent campus in
Ededimeji, Ede, Osun state, where it continues to expand its physical
infrastructure and academic offerings. RCM is proud to be in affiliation with
The Redeemer's University, also located in Ede, allowing our students access to
enhanced resources and opportunities.
The college's motto, "Training to Serve," encapsulates the heart behind our rigorous academic programs and holistic approach to student development. We are committed to nurturing your spiritual growth, expanding your intellectual capacities, and equipping you with practical ministry skills - all with the aim of empowering you to become an effective ambassador for Christ.
The Redeemed College of Missions (RCM),
formally called The Redeemed Christian School of Missions (RECSOM) is the
missionary training institute of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. It was
established by the Governing Council of RCCG in 1993 to recruit, train, and
prepare skilled missionaries for RCCG, other denominations, and Christian
organizations. RCM started with three (3) students at the redemption camp as a
department of The Redeemed Christian Bible College (RCBC). It was later
upgraded to become a full-fledged institution and it moved to temporary
buildings in Olowobida, Ede, Osun state. In 2000, it moved to its permanent
campus at Ededimeji, Ede Osun state. There is an ongoing development of
physical structures (buildings, landscapes, roads) at the permanent campus with
the expectations that the school would transform into a tertiary institution
with a charter (accreditation) to award degrees in Mission and Leadership.
RCM seeks to train Christians with definite
call and conviction for cross-cultural missions within the rural and urban
context who would use every communicable form to present the gospel to all
people groups in the world. RCM sets to provide a conducive environment for the
Holy Spirit to shape the trainees through the variant means and modes in the
process of training so that the trainees are conformable to the image of
Christ. The process of training is enhanced by biblical patterns, godly
structures, and exemplary functions within the settings and context of its
holistic program. The three-tier form of education (formal, informal, and
non-formal) is woven skilfully into the training schedule to provide adequate
opportunities for the trainees to develop in the totality of life. Its training
schedule is rigorous, meticulous, and focused.
The vision is that RCM would become a community
living in holiness and justice by love in the power of the Holy Spirit to
declare the gospel in every communicable form.
The mission of RCM is to produce skilled missionaries who would disciple godly Christians, plant viable Congregations and develop credible leaders for the Contemporary Church.
MISSION FOCUS
The entire program of RCM is planned based on
the commitment of RCCG to plant parishes in all countries in all the countries
of the world. An atmosphere of mission permeates every aspect of life at RCM.
There is a constant stream of mission-oriented
activities, visit from veteran missionaries, mission in-depth
interactive sessions in formal, informal and non-formal settings. Most of the
trainers have had significant cross-cultural experience that colors their
teaching and mentoring of the trainees.
The principles of mission are formidably imbibed
in a ministry context as the trainees engage in viable missionary practicum for
four (4) months in different contextual settings. The practicum provides the
means to synthesize the theoretical with the practical – the principles of
mission learned in the modules during this period would become effectual in the
context of ministry. There is an enabling environment for both the trainers and
the trainees to develop functional methods for the practice of mission.
